Spaghetti Al Pomodoro
Peel and dice a small onion, 2 cloves of garlic, 2 carrots, 2 stalks of celery; chop and put in the pot. Add 2 large tins of Italian pelati, or prepeeled Roma tomatoes, and half a bunch of fresh basil, washed, leaves whole. Ad a long drizzle of virgin olive oil and simmer on low for 45 minutes. Turn off and let rest at least 15 minutes. Serve over 1 box of pasta cooked barley al dente (still a tiny bit of a snap at the core with lots of fresh Parmesan (must be Reggiano) and the other half of the basil, well washed and cut with scissors in a cup or glass to prevent bruising or blackening.

Pesto
For each box of pasta (1 pound/450 grams) start with 1 large bunch of ITalian parsley and 1 large bunch of basil (leaves only; discard the stalks). Wash these well and put them in a large blender, in batches if they won't all fit at once, with 1 garlic clove (or more, to your taste). The add 1 cup of milk (low-fat is okay), a long drizzle of the best xtra-virgin olive oil you can get, and a chunk of Parmesan the size of an avacade pit. Hold the top down and blend until creamy. Ad more milk to keep the sauce sufficiently liquid so that it blends well.

Dressing for Salad
90% seasoned rice wine vinegar, 10% extra-virgin olive oil, a long splash of low-sodium soy sauce, and fresh pepper to taste

OKay so only the top part is for you guys to read, but the bottom part sounds like a good recipe or three.

and it's awesome
I love it

I'm also on a public computer and there is a little boy watching You Tube and snorting awkwardly every once in awhile. The time slot per use of computer is 30 minuteswhich really bums me out because ALL OF YOU are sleeping which makes sense because there happens to be a six hour time difference.
On the plane, which turned out to be a commercial 767, they showed the Pursuit of Happyness, which I liked, and gave us snickers. MAC flights are weird. Literally, the attendants had a tray of snickers each and said, "Snickers?" and gave you one. Bizarre!! and my food, supposedly chicken, looked like a brain. Everyone knows how I feel about anatomy and human anatomical food resemblence. Not pleasant.

One more thing about Italy, or at least the town I'm in, and then I'm off to do.... something or other. Everyone, and I really mean everyone, stares. Not like an idle, out of the corner, look down. It's a full-fledge stare. I don't really like lecherous stares, and quite often, this is the time I am receiving, especially from the men's cafes. But oh well, it's fun and funny so ... yep!

sO I'm afraid I like someone.does anyone else actually get afraid when they like someone? Is this normal human behaviour? What is going on in my life?

anyway, Casey, Jessica, Aubrey, and eventually Ian came over last night and we had a talk-fest, a game-fest, and a guesswheremariam'shouseis-fest. Then I went to bed all woozy and woke up when someone called me at two to realize that I had "sweated out" a fever (how nasty does that sound?) and that I could not fall back asleep. So even though I went to bed at 11 last night - yes I know how lame that is - and woke up around 10 this morning I still felt ehh and took a nap on my grandparent's oddly comfy bed until my brother came in to tell me that while at a party last night he saw some girls from hickory and asked them how old there were. Response: "ohhh balalajksjsndk". His response to his friend who brought him: "Dude this is messed up I'm not staying here." And so my responsible brother didn't party with the under-agers. I'm proud of him. :) But seriously, if they go to Hickory they can't be older than 18 until they failed and who wants to hang out with them if that's the case too?

My parents came home rfom Hawaii today and so no more crazy times here anymore. Actually, I'm not really sure if any crazy times happened at my house even while they were gone.
How sad is that?
On the other hand, which hand we startd on I don't know, I've almost completed my optional thing for W&M and had Mrs. K read over the part done and she said it's a good idea. Carla, if you're reading this, it sort of incorporates two ideas we thought of together. Do you (pl. if anyone else is reading this) guys think I should post the finished copy here? Basically, do you want to read it?

I'm nervous as all poop because I still have to write the serious essay and that's going to take a long time. And has anyone turned in a resume to mrs. culpepper?

IT blows my mind how someone who can mean so much can at the same just fade away forever. It doesn't seem right, it doesn't seem natural to how people co-operate with one another.
